Project Description
Problem: The goal for this project was to develop a series of “design cards” centered around the activity of raking. Each card had to have a photograph, a single word, and a calligraphic element. Each of these three elements would help to convey a particular relationship between the child and the rake.
Solution: In experimenting with numerous combinations of elements the choice was made to use the word to convey the cerebral aspect, the calligraphic lines to convey the physical aspect, and the photograph to convey the emotional aspect of the activity.
